On March 30, 2011 at 10:00 in Senate Hall of the University of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova the Fulbright Program of grants for graduate students, teachers and researchers from the Republic of Moldova was presented. The presentation was made by the representative of the US Embassy in Moldova Mrs. Valerie A. Colby (Department for Culture and Science).
The presentation contains information on the following programs:
- Fulbright Scholar Program (for 3-9 months) – non-degree grants to senior researchers, university lecturers, or experts in different fields, having a doctoral degree or equivalent professional experience, to conduct research in the US;
- Fulbright Faculty Development Program (for 1 academic year) – junior university professors, having at least two years of professional experience, an opportunity to explore curriculum development and teaching methodology in the US;
- Fulbright Science and Technology Award – a new program, witch provides exceptional students with an opportunity to pursue PhD study at top US universities (see a complete list of eligible fields at http://scienceandtech.fulbrightonline.org/eligibility), grant length being for the full course of PhD study;
- Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program (for 1 academic year) – a full scholarship program offered to mid-career professionals who have a record of leadership, a commitment to public service in either the public or private sector, and the capacity to take full advantage of a self-defined program of independent study at a leading US university.

- for Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program – June 1, 2011.
