Abstract
This paper examines the specific problem of the quality of medical data of patients when they are hospitalized for treatment through the lens of the general problem of data quality. The need to apply international standards in data quality is discussed, taking into account the specifics of the medical field and the national standards and regulations. This necessity is considered with respect to the problem of medical institutions switching to IT systems with electronic medical records and electronic health records.
