On the absence of singular continuous spectrum for some self-adjoint operators. (English)

Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to study the singular continuous spectrum for self-adjoint operators. Based on the direct methods of the perturbation theory, sufficient conditions for absence of the singular continuous spectrum of some self-adjoint operators are established. The problem is treated for the general case of operators and then, as applications, some concrete classes of operators are investigated. In particular, the operators derived from generalized Jacobi matrices are considered.Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science
