The connected component of the group of units of a locally compact ring. (English)

Abstract
We show that the connected component of the group of units of a locally compact ring is an extension of a connected central compact group with a Lie group. An example of connected group which has not this structure is given.Institutul de Matematică Academia de Ştiinţe a Moldovei
