Abstract
We study quadratic systems with two finite rest points of multiplicity $k_1$ and $k_2$, respectively. Under the condition
$k_1+k_2=4$, the local behaviour of integral curves near the singularities is determined and the question of their coexistence is tackled by establishing some coefficient criteria. The results attained may be useful in the global analysis of quadratic systems.
