Summary

The present project aims to develop an innovative educational platform based on artificial intelligence, intended for primary school students in the Republic of Moldova. In this context, the proposed platform will provide personalized information, adapted to the school curriculum, using intelligent agents capable of interacting in Romanian. The project will generate reusable regional linguistic resources accessible to the educational community and researchers. Open-source AI models will be developed that include speech-to-text transcription, Romanian speech synthesis and large linguistic models (LLM), and texts extracted from the national thesaurus and school textbooks. The scientific activity related to the project will be disseminated through an article published in a WoS indexed journal, two articles in the volumes of international conferences and through active participation in at least six national and international scientific events. This initiative will significantly contribute to the preservation and promotion of the Bessarabian cultural heritage, facilitating access to these valuable resources by the general public through the digital environment. The project will contribute to the implementation of the Digital Transformation Strategy of the Republic of Moldova for 2023-2030, which aims to develop an innovative and inclusive digital society. The research conducted will also support the implementation of the Digital Europe Program 2021-2027, adopted by the European Commission, where artificial intelligence is identified as one of the key tools, including for natural language processing with educational applications with Romanian language instruction. Through these results, the project will directly contribute to the modernization of the educational process in the Republic of Moldova, supporting personalized learning and preserving the indigenous linguistic heritage through the use of advanced technologies.
