Abstract
We study the concepts of reduced intermediate field and primitive intermediate field of a field extension, recently introduced in connection with problems in fuzzy Galois theory [2]. We determine all finite Galois extensions having a reduced intermediate field. Some properties of the primitive extensions are given. The extensions having the intermediate fields chained are described. We prove that any fuzzy intermediate field of such an extension has the sup property.E-mail:
