Abstract
We introduced the notions of prime, semiprime and strongly prime bi-ideals in ternary semigroups. The space of strongly prime bi-ideals is topologized. We characterize different classes of ternary semigroups by the properties of their quasi-ideals and bi-ideals. We also characterize those ternary semigroups for which each bi-ideal is strongly prime.Fulltext
