  • Diana Inkpen, University of Ottawa, Canada;
    Topic "Natural Language Processing for Book Recommender Systems"
    She is the director of the University of Ottawa’s Natural Language Processing Lab. Her team of PhD and MSc students is pushing this frontier, primarily through applied research that responds to the real-world needs of public and private-sector partners external to the university. Her research interests are Natural Language understanding and Generation, Lexical Semantics, Information Retrieval, Information Extraction, Automatic Text Classification, and Intelligent Agents for the semantic web.

  • Sergey Verlan, University of Paris Est Creteil, France;
    Topic "Efficient hardware implementations of membrane computing models"
    He is an Associate Professor with research interests in the areas of Formal Language Theory, Natural/DNA computing, Complex Dynamic Systems and FPGA design, Bioinformatics, and Systems Biology. Also, he works on the implementation of parallel unconventional computing models in FPGA hardware with main applications in robotics.


  • Volodimir G. Skobelev, is a Leading Researcher at V. M. Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
    Topic "On Symbolic Models Based on Markov Chains"
    He is a prolific researcher with more than 200 publications, including 6 monographs on Foundations of Mathematics, Logic, Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Applied Theory of Algorithms, Automata Theory, Mathematical Backgrounds of Cryptology, Quantum Computations, and a professor at many universities in Ukraine and Russia.
